cv1073 well.. this monumen is in Rome.. but it has not been built by the Romans but by the Italians.. it is called Vittoriano (from the name of the King Vittorio Emanuele the second) and it was built for the 50th anyversary of the unification of Italy, (started in 1885, finished in 1935, officially shown to the public around 1910).. not everything that is in Rome has been built by the Romans.. sadly tho, I have to agree with a lots of the comment before mine: the situation in the US (I was born in Italy, moved to Texas.. came back to Italy to be hired by a new Italian company, was ready to come back to the US then covid hit.. and I am still fubar) is very similar to the one that brought down the Roman Empire: external influence, internal division between those ready to sell out the Empire (unknown to many, there was a lot of issue with emperor born in the roman empire but not in Italy.. they were considered.. well kinda foreign assets.. ) and those willing to fight to keep the empire as true to its nature as possible and, besides that, those that looked to bring Rome back to its Republican root (Rome has been a Republic for almost 500 years.. please y'all: hold dear to the American value.. without them the world will be like me..
