... I am told I have the highest headcount of early-1990s era Haas CNCs. I bought my first one in spring of 1992 ... serial #1492 (In 1492, he sailed the ocean blue 😎) My next one bought a few months later was serial #1567. That makes these Haas machining centers 30 years old. You know what the difference is in the parts the 30 year old Haas machines make and the building we have full of the brand new VF2SS (SuperSpeeds) is? There is no difference. All our Haas machines make good parts, to spec, with good finishes. Happy Haas guy here. And yes, when you have over a 100 Haas machining centers, there will be occasional maintenance items required 😎 ML

cncappsjames I think Haas gets a bad rap sometimes. For the right work they are hard to beat. Maintain them properly and they can live long healthy lives. Treat it like a throwaway machine and it will be a throwaway machine.
