... I sometimes glance to see who's started following me. And now I'm jealous of this cat's prose ( @grantdelacruz ) He's young, but his style embodies the writers of old. I snapped pics of a few paragraphs from different posts. I'm reminded of Robert Ruark and Gene Hill. Anyhow, don't know him and I didn't ask if he minded, but his page ain't private, so enjoy. Spare him any comments, just slip in, read, and don't forget that split bamboo rod your grandad gave you us ML

m_summers91 One of my best friends, @grantdelacruz, is one of the most Godly, wise, charismatic, intelligent, humble, giving, honest, moral, kind, understanding, confident man I've ever had the pleasure of having in my life. Dude will legitimately take time out of any day for you, if you truly need it. My guy will come over, just to hang out, and will spend half of that time, playing with your son, and teaching him about life. My man, will call you everyday after you move thousands of miles away, just to ask how your day was. Love this guy 2 likes
  -  grantdelacruz @m_summers91 you gush. Thanks my guy. There's a Summers family shaped hole out west 🧡
legionpreparedness Amazing how if something is written well, it doesn't even matter what the subject is; everyone can recognize it, it's a pleasure to read, and most will usually pause to reflect as much 2 likes

grantdelacruz Wow. I am immensely humbled by such high complements. Thank you. Not just for the shoutout, but for lending me a bit of your time to read my thoughts and recounting of my experiences. It feels like this fast paced world we're all tied to - continually seeks to further disconnect itself with the present and from the tangible, only to replace it with a fictional one. my hope is in attempting to reforge our connection back to what literature and writing used to be. To what our world used to be. People used to fill their spare time with the works of such men as Ruark and Hill. Emerson, Leopold, and Muir. Mentally stretching themselves to explore far away places within the confines of their own minds; only reinforcing a yearning to explore what was really out there. But now we revolve around Instant access to whatever we desire. I enjoy Netflix, YouTube, the gift of the internet: as much as everyone else. But free thinking and lucid imagination has become a commodity in a world where things are manufactured for you and presented at the click of a button. Live. Explore. Conquer!
