... I ran into this article while digging through the internet, looking for how many total shots Mr. Rittenhouse fired while defending himself that night. I haven't vetted the writer's info, and I don't know who the NewsNationNow outfit is 🤷 ML
1,783 likeshoosier_tejas Robert Barnes broke this down. Because Wisconsin is in overwhelmingly rural state there is a reasonable expectation that people under 18 might be required to protect their farm or livestock against predators or other threats. The law was in response to gang violence spilling over from Chicago and in the bigger cities like Milwaukee With an exemption for farm kids. It's not uncommon for kids in the Midwest to operate motor vehicles with a farm plate among other accommodations. 9 likes

curtis_carp I know what you're thinking. Did he fire 7 shots or only 5? To tell ya the truth in all the excitement I almost lost track myself. But being that was an AR15 assault rifle that can hold 30 rds and can blow your head clean off. You got to ask yourself one question....do I feel lucky? We'll do ya punk. Apparently they did. Lmao 17 likes

  -  laruetactical ... And you could plainly see bicepticle's pistol. Still not sure why the prosecution showed that video 🤷 3 likes
  -  perez2021juan @laruetactical A conspiracy theory floats around that Binger put on a show to do the best he could to avoid the mob.......while taking the show so far as to make it easy for a jury to acquit 🤷
  -  titan_rook @curtis_carp So close, then you called it an assault rifle.
jricks21 8. 4 at pedi, 2 that missed jump kick man, 1 that killed skaterboy, and one that bisected lefty's bicep. 24 likes

billsnearly All they had to do was stop the looters and rioters. 9 likes
  -  mlj_0531 @billsnearly 100% and I wish more people would mention that. The people that lived/worked in places these riots took place last year were all failed miserably by authority figures. When the police are outnumbered by rioters and neutered by chickenshit politicians, you can't be surprised when regular dudes step up to the plate. 1 like
  -  utahstrong_ish_man @billsnearly *peaceful protestors
  -  hoosier_tejas @billsnearly I find it incredibly shameful that those in authority held back the police, fire departments and national guard. The incident with Rittenhouse was on the third night of the riots. Have they succeeded in neutralizing Kyle it would've been less than a block away from the police line. There was an organized ambush to "make an example" of anyone who contested control of the streets. Remember the execution in Portland of the patriot prayer member? What happened to Kyle was a coordinated ambush, that's why the prosecution put three people involved on ice or didn't call them even though their identity was known, a.k.a. jump kick man. 1 like
  -  modernwarriorsystems @hoosier_tejas exactly. That's what me and my gf said. I fully believe Rosenbaum and his group were following Kyle and when he started running to the fire they attacked him, because they thought they were going to miss their opportunity.
  -  hoosier_tejas @modernwarriorsystems credit to Robert Barnes, he's been excellent all the way through
groundkeeper_willy Dont forget the guy who fired his pistol on the air, the gunshot that Kyle thought was one of his assailants. Then walked away as Kyle started shooting. No one is mentioning him or his involvement 4 likes

  -  craigthomas4699 @groundkeeper_willy That is believed to be Mr. Zielinski (sp?) wasn't it? He was at the trial, and I believe the state has brought charges against him.
  -  laruetactical @craigthomas4699 ... And who is Jump-kick man ?
  -  craigthomas4699 @laruetactical He was the first person to attack Rittenhouse when he fell. He was not identified at the time of the trial. The court identified him as "Jump Kick Man" during the trial.

kpm3791 If the police would do their jobs and ensure public order, rittenhouse wouldn't have been there. christiantomyn I think it was 7-8 shots. 3 on rosenbaum, two that missed the jump kick dude, one on skateboard kid, and one in bicep boy. There might have been another somewhere in there though 2 likes

customglock The law is true, it was discussed a lot last week but a bunch of lawyer commentators. Super weird law. 1 like
  -  __stillsleeping @customglock bc pistol ar 15 you need to be 21 to purchase while you can be 18 and younger to own a rifle than owning a pistol ? It's all stupid laws that make no fuckinh sense
  -  customglock @__stillsleeping There were no braced pistols in 91, the law is referring the NFA SBRs 1 like
  -  libordtx @customglock the fucked up part is the prosecution absolutely knew that the law wasn't applicable but charged anyway. Same with the self defense part 1 like
  -  laruetactical @libordtx ... And he openly admitted he knew it was a bogus charge 4 likes
  -  steveroc3 @__stillsleeping purchase and own are not the same 1 like
  -  jarretthale2002 @libordtx I heard there's some proposed "Kyle's Law" that holds prosecutors more accountable for how KR was charged and treated
craigthomas4699 He fired 4 at Rosenbaum. It appears to be 2 at "Jump Kick Man", but could have potentially been 1, 1 at Huber, and 1 at Grosskreutz. So it is believed to be 8, but may have only been 7.
alex.d.rockhound That law is so weird to begin with because the NFA already exists which means he wouldn't be able to be in possession of an SBR anyway since theres the whole tax stamp thing to buy it, and title 2 firearms can't be lent to people, they have to be in the immediate vicinity of the owner if somebody else is holding it. 1 like
customglock 4 at the Pedo, 2 at jump kick man (misses), 1 at skatebaord to the head and 1 at gage the bicep. 7 likes
  -  thirtythree_three @customglock wrong. Skateboard (Huber) was center mass.
  -  customglock @thirtythree_three Skateboard to the head, not shot to the head.
  -  thirtythree_three @customglock ok gotcha
  -  laruetactical @customglock ... Are you calling one of the attackers "Skateboard-to-the-head" ? 1 like
  -  customglock @laruetactical Yes, because he hit kyle in the head with the skateboard. I guess I could have been clearer but I dont care enough to learn or use their real names.
  -  customglock @laruetactical So 8 shots total. 4 in the Pedo. 2 misses at Jumpkick Man, 1 hit on Wifebeater/Skater Guy, 1 hit on Captain No Bicep. 1 like
sea__dub I think it was 6, but I could be wrong? 4 to the 1st, 1 to the 2nd, 1 to the 3rd
  -  jb84_831_775nv @sea__dub 8 the 2 shots fired at jump kick man missed. 1 like
  -  thirtythree_three @sea__dub yes, you're wrong. It's 8. See my comment above for clarification 1 like
  -  laruetactical @thirtythree_three ... How come Jump/Kick isn't named ?
  -  jricks21 @laruetactical the prosecution pretended they didn't know who he was and couldn't find him probably so the defense couldn't cross examine. 1 like
  -  instagramdalf @sea__dub 4 to the 1st, 1 at jump kick man (the only miss), 2 at the 3rd, and an 8th to the 4th, I believe
msuspartan4ever SBR's and SBS's are NFA regulated items that have a specific minimum age requirement (21 yrs), along with the ATF background check and $200 Tax stamp, so a minor in possession of an sbr or sbs would be a problem in most states.
customglock @larue_tactical This is a good breakdown of the law by a bunch of lawyers from last week after the just tossed it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aw4M1397ohE
  -  customglock If you cant copy pasta search YT for Rekieta Law
parallax_error1 Speaking of, @laruetactical how about a commemorative KR-15?
thirtythree_three @laruetactical Two errors in the article: 1) The prosecution didn't ask for it to be dismissed, the Defense did. The prosecution was willing to let it go to the jury EVEN THOUGH they knew the gun had a 16" (at least) barrel. They were hoping that it would muddy the waters on the provocation jury instruction. 2) The law wasn't intended to prohibit "sawed off shotguns", because sawed off shotguns were already unlawful. You It was intended to make handguns illegal for 16&17 year olds. 2 likes
  -  thirtythree_three @thirtythree_three @laruetactical P.s. the answer is 8 shots total. 4 into Rosenbaum, 2 misses at "jump kick man", one fatal into Huber, one into Grosskreutz's bicep. Lemme know if you want Rosenbaum's autopsy photos. 1 like

  -  usgeneral25 @laruetactical I know that 22rds were left in the magazine, the number I've heard consistently was 8 shots 2 likes
  -  perez2021juan I heard someone say the rifle law was enacted to curb gang violence, where sawed-off shotguns and shortened rifles were all the rage on the streets. Binger doesn't know a damn thing about guns....not even where to put his trigger finger when holding one.
legionpreparedness I think it is dishonest of this article to claim it all boiled down to an obscure law (so therefore closed as a loophole). This was 12 people stating that is mob violence is portable all over our nation for the sake of a specific group of people to force their will & agenda upon others, then so is the second amendment portable all over the country for everyone else to defend theirs. And for the record, Kyle Rittenhouse lived part-time in Kenosha as well as spent a significant portion of his young life there. Be wary of all the post game liberal propoganda we are going to see that will fight hard to take back the left-wing anti-gun "within reason/nobody needs weapons of war/that's not what the framers intended/gun addiction/gun culture/white redneck/high school education" rhetoric 2 likes
  -  laruetactical @legionpreparedness ... I think it's angle is had they been able to make the bogus gun charge stick ... the results might not have left the defendant in the catbird's seat. 2 likes
  -  i_am_the_fos @legionpreparedness If I understand it correctly, I think you're missing the point. The article states that this is why the GUN charges were dropped, not the others (IE: murder, etc)- The verdict determined those higher charges
  -  legionpreparedness @i_am_the_fos the first page of the article states the 1991 gun law may have impacted the *verdict* which means the the not guilty on all charges as I see it. Not just the dismissal. If that was their point I completely disagree 1 like
  -  legionpreparedness @laruetactical it's very tempting to believe that because it's plausible. The unfortunate effect will be liberal anti-gun legislatures going back to strike or alter every obscure gun law they have in their insidious war on the second amendment
  -  i_am_the_fos @legionpreparedness Fair enough, I missed that
titan_rook Anyone else find the site and read the entire article? I'm asking because I'm curious when Rittenhouse "self-declared" as a "white nationalist"?
fast507 @newsnationnow this is an unmitigated attempt to skew public sentiment, through your complete ignorance of laws, and the application, thereof. You disagree with the verdict, we get it. However, it is absolute journalistic malfeasance, to use the platform to present a law, and application thereof, to push your narrative. All, while willingly misinforming the population, to achieve that end. Relish in your obscurity, you earned it. To call yourself a serious journalist, is a misnomer. At best, you are an ignorant opinion writer. Do not attempt to speak to the intent and application of a law, duly enacted by the State's government, when you don't even possess a basic grasp of firearms nomenclature, law or enforcement. You're an angry leftist with an outlet, lashing out, because your side can't take an "L," where it's deserved. You're wrong on the whole premise of the case, and the law won out, as is proper, in the Rittenhouse case.
rxnemo at least we're stepping back into the right direction.
samuel._.clemens I haven't read this anywhere yet, but I have a feeling we'll see the DOJ bring federal charges against Kyle this week. I looked it up and you can actually be charged twice for the same crime by state and federal courts. It's called "dual sovereignty" and I think they'll use it to charge him again because they're afraid of all the publicity he's getting for defending himself with an AR-15. They're going to say that crossing state lines opened him up to federal charges. I think they're going to take it before a judge they can "trust" to get the results they want.
pnhurst I think he fired 5 shots. One each at each of the known attackers, 2 missed the unknown attacker known as kick-man, who prosecutors know real name of.
  -  beshoults @pnhurst 4 shots to Rosenbaum with 5 wounds. 2 at jump kick man (both missed). 1 at Huber (1 wound). 1 at Grosskreutz (1 wound). 8 shots fired total. 1 like
drjwmeyn Rittenhouse used surprising restraint and world class trigger control when he was being attacked. Plain and simple. Any other person in this situation and similarly armed would have emptied that magazine into the antagonists and not thought twice about it. You keep shooting until there is no threat.
icecoldmn Innocent on all charges, that proves America is still great. The libs are reeling wanting to limit rights and freedoms of every stand up citizen, yet they coddle the looters, rioters and vandals. I mean seriously how did this ever even get to a courtroom?

robv714 It's really a shame The Kenosha Kid missed the jump kick man. From what I have read that guy was also a career criminal and would not have been missed by society. At least he terminated the other 2 POS. And made Gaige "I can only jerk off left handed now" Grosskreutz less lethal to society. 10 likes
  -  thirtythree_three Or not, because then there would have been an actual racial component. This way, they look like total idiots to any reasonable person when they claim racism
  -  robv714 @thirtythree_three Flying Jump Kick guy literally tried to kill Kyle. I really don't care about the racial component and I am sure Kyle was not checking what color his attackers were. He was trying to get away from them. So the racial element does not matter when you're being attacked. Even though the left would love it.
  -  thirtythree_three That's my point, I want the left to look like idiots. They're making this a racism thing, and no one shot or injured was a minority (except Kyle who is 1/2 Hispanic). I'd jump kick man were hit, they'd look a little less ridiculous, if that's possible.
