The law was in response to gang violence spilling over from Chicago and in the bigger cities like Milwaukee With an exemption for farm kids. The incident with Rittenhouse was on the third night of the riots. Have they succeeded in neutralizing Kyle it would've been less than a block away from the police line. There was an organized ambush to "make an example" of anyone who contested control of the streets. Remember the execution in Portland of the patriot prayer member? What happened to Kyle was a coordinated ambush, that's why the prosecution put three people involved on ice or didn't call them even though their identity was known, a.k.a. jump kick man. 1 like

msuspartan4ever SBR's and SBS's are NFA regulated items that have a specific minimum age requirement (21 yrs), along with the ATF background check and $200 Tax stamp, so a minor in possession of an sbr or sbs would be a problem in most states.

The prosecution was willing to let it go to the jury EVEN THOUGH they knew the gun had a 16" (at least) barrel. They were hoping that it would muddy the waters on the provocation jury instruction. 2) The law wasn't intended to prohibit "sawed off shotguns", because sawed off shotguns were already unlawful. samuel._.clemens I haven't read this anywhere yet, but I have a feeling we'll see the DOJ bring federal charges against Kyle this week. I looked it up and you can actually be charged twice for the same crime by state and federal courts. It's called "dual sovereignty" and I think they'll use it to charge him again because they're afraid of all the publicity he's getting for defending himself with an AR-15. They're going to say that crossing state lines opened him up to federal charges. I think they're going to take it before a judge they can "trust" to get the results they want.
