andrew_the_machinist Mark, have you tried any of the IMI razor core 77gr from midway? I got a box to try. I had side by side results with a some FGMM 69gr, and the razor core was right on par. Just curious if you've had any experience with it?
- laruetactical @andrew_the_machinist ... No, haven't tried it. What magnification is your scope and what was your smallest group with it ?
- andrew_the_machinist @laruetactical just a cheap 3-9x40 scope, grouped 1" @ 100yds. That being said, I just put a bushnell 4.5-18 on it, so hopefully that will improve a little next time I take it out. And my marksmanship is nothing to brag about. And I forgot my rear sand bag that day... I wrote down a whole list of excuses...haha. But compared to 55gr FMJ rounds, best group I could get was 1.75" @ 100yds. And I thought Hornaday Black was supposed to be good, but that stuff did worse than the cheap stuff.
dl42 Is there a particular bullet and muzzle velocity that your 18" Stealth barrels seem to prefer? Got one and Im trying not to waste as many components as possible developing a load.
- laruetactical @dl42 ... Quality bullets with consistent CGs do well. 73 grain Bergers, etc.
