  -  tallen805 @frankie.waddell. As I was telling my friend his eye was too close to the scope on my .308 he pulled the trigger🤦. The half moon gusher on his eyebrow began to flow down his face. Ouch.. 1 like

  -  frankie.waddell @laruetactical well I mean your statement about needing to push it foward some was vague and didn't give a reason why that was needed.

fishingm90 Is that a left handed model? Seems like the LRF would be in the way.
  -  titan_rook @fishingm90 In the way of what? Common bolt and semi auto actions typically eject to the right, and side chargers like the AK, 10/22, and ALL common bolt actions are operated by right side controls.
  -  fishingm90 @titan_rook I shoot with both eyes open. It seems like the laser rangefinder would obscure your vision out of your left eye. Unless the concept here is to quickly range with left eye and aim on target with right eye.
  -  titan_rook @fishingm90 It's not going to block you from seeing anything in proper use. You're not shooting anything you're going to see with unassisted vision using this setup. The RF eyepiece is below that of the scope, so you're using the RF first then, after acquiring a good cheekweld, looking through your scope using the info from your RF and your dope card to adjust for the shot.

thomas_james25 I dig it. But tbh it would make more sense to have it pic mounted, and attached below the optic, behind the mount, L shaped towards the shooter. So make it smaller, lower, and attach via the rail. 1 like
  -  458_socalm @thomas_james25 that'd even make it rightside up at the same time if I'm reading that right 1 like

nvg.nightlife Why not make the rear lens of the RF parallel with the rear of the scope?
  -  titan_rook @nvg.nightlife To me, the main reason seems it would put the rangefinder laser off the same plane as the scope tube. It's a bonus that its current configuration keeps the accessories on the rifle from being any taller.
  -  nvg.nightlife @titan_rook The laser would remain in the same plane though. I'm not taking about about horizontal or vertical adjustments, but adjusting it forward enough that the rear lenses are the same distance to the shooter's eye.
  -  titan_rook @nvg.nightlife So, not parallel, just further from the shooter at similar distance as the scope's eyepiece. Appropriate eye relief would depend on the device. The scope might be 3.5" while the RF is only 2". 1 like
ccarnel Maybe you could put some adjustment into the mount so u could cowitness the laser to the pointnof aim in the scope and this would be like a po-boy wilcox raptar! 1 like
  -  laruetactical @ccarnel ... Of course that's what's gonna happen ... after I make one out of aluminum first and see if it naturally takes care of bidness. 3 likes
meatsweatsmike Still upside down?
dantakesthejet Always innovating. How's the plane coming?
stevemakeen It is amazing how these 3D printers can be used to take ideas & scratching on a pad , into the first stages of becoming a reality .Well done on having the courage & love of firearms to experiment & act on ideas/brainstorming . 1 like

jwb_1985 Take my money already
midwest_jeepguy I imagine if you come out with a bracket that's adaptable for other rangefinders, or possibly make different brackets available, there's room in that market in this bracket would takeoff like a wildfire. I'm still using a Bushnell 7x26 Elite CONX & love it 👍
sandy__mitchell Make your spotting scope movable, like you can push it away from you, then bring it back to you with a paush button? Like on a AR stock..adjustment
