whyintheworldamidoingthis I want to build one of you're 5.56 uppers into a dmr style build which one is the best for accuracy?

  -  thirtythree_three @whyintheworldamidoingthis Your question is confusing. Are you asking which round is best for accuracy? Or which model of LaRue is best for accuracy?
  -  whyintheworldamidoingthis @thirtythree_three sorry, which upper
  -  thirtythree_three @whyintheworldamidoingthis There's probably not a correct answer to that question.... taking out the Ultimate Upper option (which I wouldn't even exclude myself), the differences between the other models (stealth uppers, OBR, PredatOBR, PredatAR) are going to be about features and not accuracy. For instance, the PredatAR is going to have a lighter barrel than the OBR. Consequently, the OBR will be heavier. The PredatOBR had some features of both the OBR and the PredatAR, but also disassembles. Meanwhile, you can basically spec out exactly what you want with the Stealth upper option, but with the Stealth Barrels (which are renowned). Shooting suppressed? You may want to make sure you get an option with the LaRue adjustable gas block. In other words, unless you're shooting long strings (where a heavier barrel is likely to maintain accuracy over time and shots fired), then worry more about what features you want. They're all going to shoot lights out as long as you give them the right ammo.

thirtythree_three A certain recipe of IMR4064 with a 175SMK has yielded on a PtOBR 7.62 16" and OBR under 1/2 MOA with *5* SHOT GROUPS. As impressive as these targets are, they understate the potential of the rifles (except the third group....that's just silly good). 1 like
  -  laruetactical @thirtythree_three ... You're looking at brand new barrels with only about 5 rounds of factory ammo through each one. 2 likes
  -  thirtythree_three @laruetactical This is true, and you make a good point.
