Not sure if I posted this or not. There's a gov't optic solicitation out that has 1/2" nuts written into the requirement. No sweat, we converted our LT845 into a new model with 1/2" nuts ... and tossed in an illuminated bubble level while we were at it. ML

a3addon You did. :-) me want. When will this be available online?
ricks_adventures Why in God's name do they want those? 2 likes
  -  laruetactical @ricks_adventures ... Mine is not the reason why ... ML 5 likes
  -  masonwilhelmy @ricks_adventures Wilcox RAPTAR is why, or other devices similar to that. As for the 1/2" cross bolts, because why not!
  -  ricks_adventures @masonwilhelmy no I totally get the diving board. The 1/2" bolts however, are a 1980s solution to a 2019 problem. 1 like
  -  masonwilhelmy @ricks_adventures haha sometimes (most of the time) the military's solution to problems doesn't make sense

  -  jjmaho8 @ricks_adventures sof runs red dots in addition to scopes. Its a great tool for 200m and in as well as getting talked onto an area and dropping down to your scope
  -  ricks_adventures @jjmaho8 like I said before, I completely get the purpose and utility of the diving board portion. I was referring to the 1/2" knobs. The quick release levers on other larue products are far superior to the knobs, as well as far less like to vibrate loose.
  -  whatarewedo1ng @ricks_adventures somebody wanting to award a contract to a company that makes them already with a cross bolt, 1/2" nut set up would be my bet 2 likes
  -  ricks_adventures @_cars_be_broke_ yeah that sounds about right. God forbid we go with the best available, let's just use the old shit our buddies make.

joshua.nelson100 Damn that's a sexy mount
mdh1310 @laruetactical so can you mount a RMR setup directly to the mount instead of that giant pic rail on top?
  -  laruetactical @mdh1310 ... That "giant pic rail" is for mounting range finders to. It QDs to a pic rail on the front top ring half. Suppose you can mount anything picatinny-related to the top of that front ring. ML 1 like
  -  509hanson @laruetactical which range finder would you recommend ?

  -  softie70 @laruetactical Mark, I called today and asked if I could buy that front scope cap...and QD pic rail. I was told no, that was a military contract item. I have emailed you twice as instructed here on IG, is this at all a possibility? Can I just buy the ring cap, and avoid sending this entire mount back to you guys??? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
  -  softie70 @softie70 I currently running the 2nd rear ring sent with the mount, the two hole ring on the front, 3 hole ring position.
peyton_gage Will you make an lt845 with bubble option available for us to buy? 3 likes
jjmaho8 Outstanding. I still prefer qd and don't know why the requirements are nuts... 2 likes
  -  laruetactical @jjmaho8 ... I prefer QD too. No reason to not go QD. ML 3 likes
shqype_ Bubble level on a QD line would be even more amazing.
