matt_and_a_map My cat looks a lot like that one (just more black where it's tan and vise versa), but then I noticed the scale difference and read 26 pounds... that's a big cat.

bruceshibley Anyone know anyone who has eaten one? Wouldn't be my first choice but if it was my only choice, I would. Curious about it. My neighbors in the Deep South talk about eating everything they can kill, made me curious. I was always told meat eating creatures don't taste as good as grass feeders, but meat is meat, and ribeyes in California just hit 20.00-28.00/lb...

- bruceshibley @fishingm90 anything you could compare mountain lion to? I have talked with someone who eats bear. I have never had it, again a carnivore. I have had alligator, and would eat it again especially if I killed it myself.

- damon.mansfield I cooked the bobcat I killed this past Fall. It was a smaller cat, but the meat looked really good. When raw, it kind of resembles the color of rabbit meat. The first recipe we tried was just the rear quarters in the slow-cooker with onions and dry rub. Made pulled meat bbq with it, and it was very similar to pork, but dry. I did eat some before saucing, also. Again, pork but dry. I still have the loins in the freezer, and yes, we're going to do Chinese with them! 😂 1 like

sotexwhiskeyguy I killed a bobcat once. Put a . 22 mag round right behind her ear. Dropped like a sack of potatoes. Beautiful tanned hide.
