- troutscout61 @direct.impingement No one to answer your question. It was unloaded during boresighting. But the laser was not removed before a round was chambered. I shut down a firing line ten years ago just seconds before a guy would have sent a round with a bore sighter still in the barrel. I swore he was the biggest idiot ever. Slow forward ten years and I was function testing and grouping rifle nine of ten for the day and I was the idiot. Blow it off and believe it could not happen to you, or give it a minutes worth of thought and file it away. Might save your kids' father's life. 2 likes

troutscout61 Been there, done that. Got lucky and just cost me a barrel and flash suppressor. When I am shooting in a private location, I used to never use a chamber flag. But now, if the laser is in the bore, the flag is in the chamber. Old guys need memory aids I guess.
