... 25-08 News ... Andrew McCourt sent me an update tonight on 25-08 ammo development he's doing with a 22" LaRue PredatOBR and 115 grain Berger VLD. Top groups are 5-shot, bottom groups are 3-shot. 100 yards. If not for the one outlier in the 1st group, all 16 shots overlaid would have been close to a 16-round 1/2" group. ML

jtac_tard It would be killer with 131gr black ace bullets crazy high b.c. Would have to to have fast twist rate though 1-7/1-8. 2 likes
- laruetactical @jaysamatha ... And how well do those ACE bullets perform as hunting bullets ? And do you suspect better accuracy from them than the Bergers ?
- jtac_tard @laruetactical there's guys hunting with them taking game and the the Bc is like .630 g1 . Started seeing guys running them in PRS matches in 25 creedmoor etc.
- blackjackbullets @laruetactical What twist rate is this rifle? I have no qualms in saying they kill as well as The VLDs and even better in a lot of cases. Initial Penetration is definitely a strong suit of the ACE and is followed by massive internal damage and nice exit wounds. Check out @coldboremiracle and his #operationquarterlord.
- coldboremiracle @laruetactical yes on both your questions. The Ace has hammered 5 deer and 2 elk for us the past two seasons, from 300 to 1100 yds. Every one of them one and done, with complete pass throughs and devastating vital damage. 1 like
- blackjackbullets @jaysamatha there really isn't a G1 BC that lines you with the ACE as it's a huge % more efficient than the G1 standard. The real world G7 BC is .340 1 like

william_andrew_edwards Blackjack Ace kills quite well. Many deer and elk have already fallen to them this past fall/winter. @blackjackbullets can better provide examples 1 like
