... So yeah, I took a break from the Winston Churchhill movie "Darkest Hour" and ran the 1" Red Dot test again. I pulled that scopeless rifle out of the case, put the bipod and 2.5-8X Leupold back on it ... scope is kept sighted-in for this 20" 6.5Creedmoor in a LaRue LT-204 C.A.N. mount. It's been several weeks since I did that 5-times-in-a-row 1" red dot sticker shoot post, where each shot I started with the scope off the rifle. This time, weeks later, with randomly different weather conditions, I still hit the 1" Red Dot after slapping the scope on moments before the shot. Ammo is some stuff Uncle Sam sent to me to test out in my MRGG-S ** 140 gr Berger Hybrid-AR. Before the handful of haters wade in, know that likely none of you shoot a lowly 8 power glass on your 6.5 Creedmoor gas-gun, and you certainly haven't slapped an 8X onto a 20" gas gun and hit a 1" red dot at 100 yards consistently ... and with a suppressor, barrel, and trigger in a rifle with a QD scope mount you developed all of and made. It's D-Day, a good day to drag a firearm out, slap a scope on it and drill something 🎯 ML

codyy05 @laruetactical y'all still making the TranQuilo?
  -  laruetactical @codyy05 ... Yep, it's best zero back pressure can on the market. Simple, rugged, and very competively priced 💪 😎 2 likes
  -  cam_scott89 @laruetactical does it function well on a .556?
  -  codyy05 @laruetactical heck yeah!! What's the lead time on them right now??
  -  whopperator @cam_scott89 yes, no back pressure allows the gun to function normally and no extra noticeable gas to the face. Since it's 556 there's no chance of movie quiet suppression so a closed can doesn't make sense. Some suppressors will make certain guns malfunction (tavor comes to mind), this has the least likelihood of that happening.
  -  tarheeltactical @codyy05 seems to be 6 months + but I'm patiently waiting everyday. :-) 1 like
  -  ralph124c41 @cam_scott89 The Tranquillo works very well on both my 12 inch and 20" guns. Perfect cycling and does not over gas the action. 1 like
  -  cam_scott89 @ralph124c41 do you run standard and subsonic ammo without issue? How's the DB reduction?
  -  ralph124c41 @cam_scott89 I am issued MK 262 Mod 1 Black Hills 77 grain for duty and I shoot M855 for practice. No issues with either of them. For subsonic ammunition, I am using EBR ultra stealth and it is designed not to cycle. With the subsonic, the tranquillo is very quiet. I wish I had dB readings to share. Someday I'll buy a sound meter. I can't say enough good about this can. It has become my go-to for semi-auto platforms. 1 like

bredfearn79 I got a couple LT204 mounts last year. I've got a 30mm model that's held my leupold 1.5x4 perfectly. It's been on and off my springfield saint regularly and has no problem maintaining 1 minute of shunk. 2 likes
  -  laruetactical @bredfearn79 ... When adjusted per the supplied instructions, they repeat within 0.087 moa ... or so a .mil group claimed after lashing a zillion dollars worth of lasers to it. I was not given the official report as they said that taxpayer dollars were used to gather the data and claimed it gave me an unfair advantage against my competitors 🤷 5 likes
  -  bredfearn79 @laruetactical I didn't need a zillion dollars worth of lasers to figure out your QD scope mounts are the only way to go if you know the mount is coming on and off regularly. My 5th larue QD mount comes next week. A day to process my order and ship it is pretty good these days too! 2 likes
canemovium Yeah, I use a 7x 😆
j_tweezy Get rid of the keymod and I'm totally OK with this post 🙌
  -  laruetactical @j_tweezy ... Whew, that was close, I had decided if the next post was 💯 positive, they were gonna be the new owner of that rifle. Now I keep to keep it and keep shootin' the red dot 💃u s 🔥🎯 3 likes

fishingm90 @laruetactical will these ever go into production for us common folk?
dadradx3 @laruetactical I just want one of the scopes.
  -  laruetactical @dadradx3 ... I like that scope too. Compact, but still has enough knobs / gadgets to look plenty cool. It has 5 mils of usable reticle that gets you out to 700 yards using Todd Hodnett's "Minus 2 Formula" I've been hitting a 780 yard gong with it by holding the 5mil mark at top of the gong. That gong measures 1.2 mils inside the scope in 8 power.
