... There's a whole heap of these Sietes now out there in the wild. My first center fire bolt action rifle was a Savage 22 Hornet. In my early teens, I smoked Tennessee groundhogs and a few Chipmunks using my handloaded Blitz bullets. To remove empty cases, I carried a straightened coat hangar attached to a piece of a tobacco-hanging stake. Humble beginnings 😎 ML

nomadrcc It's a fricking tack driver, I'm absolutely loving mine! Thankful for your humble beginnings that shaped you and what you have created. 4 likes
  -  dave.engle.10 Which one of the break-in procedures did you use? 2 likes
  -  laruetactical ... @nomadrcc ... Glad to hear you're getting great accuracy out of yours. 💪 2 likes
  -  nomadrcc @dave.engle.10 I did the short one because I'm lazy and won't be putting it through the paces of extreme accuracy that I'm sure a lot of the purists purchased it for. 😎 1 like
  -  tx_pighntr What kind of accuracy are you getting even with the reduced break in?
xpottedplantx Got to order one soon:)
kevinosterson Any plans on doing one in 338 LM and maybe 416 R?
  -  laruetactical @kevinosterson ... Those two won't fit in a short-action 🤷 1 like
burgin_michael Mine has been a tack driver for sure. With the NF ATAC-R scope it's easily one of the best shooters in my cabinet. 3 likes
  -  laruetactical @burgin_michael ... In the old days, to get this light of a rifle that's this accurate ... you first pined over ordering a rifled blank from a reputable barrel maker. Then you waited 8-15 months to get it. Then you handed that precious long-awaited tube over to a one-man gunsmith shop to turn your blank into something usable. He then took a stab at it. If he managed to turn the OD somewhat on top of the ID, and didn't overshoot the barrel's threads, and using his one chamber reamer he managed to eke out one more chamber with it, properly headspaced ... then you were in business. But if anything along the way went awry ... nobody was left in the blame radius. Start over. 3 likes
  -  burgin_michael @laruetactical it's defiantly good to know you have eliminated all those steps then. I did wait a long time on this one but every time I shoot it and smile and just think, worth every penny!
d.w.jones I only have 1500 rds of 150gr. Mag tech 7.62. Can I play?
jesslarude I still have the most fun on a savage .223
will.a.chambers I LOVE mine. Stupid precise when I do my part. 1 like
  -  laruetactical @will.a.chambers ... You will rarely but occasionally have a bullet befuddle you. That's a bullet that was made with it's center of gravity jacked-up. This new covid ammo rush seems to have stretched the bullet makers tolerances a wee bit 😎 4 likes
  -  will.a.chambers @laruetactical That damn rona has caused a decline in quality across a wide range of industries. Thankfully that's not the case in Leander 😉 1 like

trophylandhunting @laruetactical can we buy a barrel outright? Say I want a 22-250 and a .308?
  -  laruetactical @trophylandhunting ... Do you have a Siete ?
  -  trophylandhunting @laruetactical no sir. I've been waiting to hear if I could buy a rifle then an extra barrel. And what that cost (roughly) would be for extra barrels.
