gunsandsharpthings Are you finally creating a rail that is relevant for 2021? 1 like
  -  laruetactical @gunsandsharpthings ... I'm actually updating my leg-hold ban list. Did I just catch one ? 6 likes
  -  gunsandsharpthings @laruetactical I don't give a shit what you do, as long as you keep making nice stuff, but it would be nice to see a continuous top rail offering from LT.
  -  laruetactical @gunsandsharpthings ... No it wouldn't 2 likes
  -  gunsandsharpthings @laruetactical Imagine someone wanting to buy offerings from you, and then continuously making the same stuff from 2005. I think that's the gripe Mark. 1 like
  -  laruetactical @gunsandsharpthings ... A knife, fork, and a spoon haven't changed in 200 years, and your girth proves it. 7 likes
  -  gunsandsharpthings @laruetactical Yes.
  -  laruetactical @gunsandsharpthings ... Tell the Big 3 Automakers you want a one-piece car. 5 likes
  -  waitekyser @laruetactical unibody cars? lol
  -  laruetactical @waitekyser ... No, that would be only the body. 😂 1 like
  -  ikemg13 @gunsandsharpthings speak for yourself. Ive gone through several high end continuous rails and they all lack somewhere. Usually in strength. Larue LAT rails for all my guns now. The only thing a continuous rail gets me is 6more likes om the gram from people who can't stand to shift the offset mount 1 space further.
  -  gunsandsharpthings @ikemg13 I have 3 LT15's, you don't need to educate me on LT's product. I've been buying it since about 2007, so I know the quality

  -  tcfawley @gunsandsharpthings I've got 3 OBRs with continuous top rails...like you can't get more continuous than the same effing piece of metal from stem to stern. 😉 1 like
jdg0707 Huh?
harkentriptych To show how tired I am, I thought you were actually making a purple upper. My wife was going to be excited lol 6 likes

arconcepts911 Looking good, love your triggers, but I'm a UG NX guy for my math
goldie_n_az Any chance of us getting a hybrid quad with the quad part up front, and mlok on the sides and bottoms?
  -  laruetactical @goldie_n_az ... What would you put in the M-Lok spots if you already had a quad of picatinny wrapping the front end ? 2 likes
  -  deepsquats.longshots @laruetactical probably just a foregrip I would think, similar to the KAC URX handguards
  -  redoak.sooner @goldie_n_az so a Slick-a-LOK (TM) like the Slick-a-Tinney (TM) but with MLOK
an_angels_rapture Curious, how does a hand guard start out? Slab, bar, tube? Do customers ever ask for custom features?
  -  laruetactical @an_angels_rapture ... Starts out as bauxite 🔥 9 likes
  -  an_angels_rapture @laruetactical 😂 So you fill the hopper of the CNC and push play. 1 like
  -  jayem0502 @an_angels_rapture a lot of peiple have extrusion dies made, then cut to length then machine. 1 like
king_george410 Side question....is the inventory on the website live?
  -  laruetactical @king_george410 ... No, I'd have to hire more people to count and update and charge more 8 likes
jeremypiar Yeah, I'm forced to use inferior design tools also. Inventor is way better. 1 like
  -  laruetactical @jeremypiar ... I design a lot of stuff and SolidWorks doesn't get in my way. 4 likes
  -  robotek_as @laruetactical yea I prefer solidworks
  -  blackstumptactical @jeremypiar used both at different jobs. They both have their quirks but solidworks is on my home rig if that says anything. 1 like
  -  jeremypiar I've been using both for many years designing custom machines and tooling, currently I find Inventor to be more stable plus it always wins in detailing. I just wish they would fix the case sensitivity on units.
  -  laruetactical @blackstumptactical ... We're not changing - SolidWorks & MasterCam it is. 8 likes
  -  jkedsnake @laruetactical I do all my designing on mastercam, I have not had the case where I neded to use solidworks to create a model or feature rhat could not be accomplished on mastercam. Best part is that at the same time im also creating the toolpath geometry for most of the machining strategy. But I prefer solidworks for generating prints nd work instructions.
46wlf46 Love SolidWorks!
gsprague Siemens nx here
skymerc I don't get the desire for a continuous top rail except for aesthetic reasons. You shouldn't be bridging a mount on the receiver and rail. If you need more eye relief get a cantilever optic mount. I guess aesthetics overrule function.
  -  alpha_phil15 @skymerc you got it, it's aesthetics. Nobody that half ass knows what they are doing would bring the receiver / rail. But my Stealth 2.0 is way sexier than my Stealth 1.0. Remember, all that matters is how cool you look while on the range.

romeo_hotel_engineering That transition feature looks like it would be annoying to machine. Or maybe I am not seeing it correctly..
sdhbbq I love my Solidworks. Ben a user since 2004. The Master Cam dynamic milling is pretty sweet also
