... I've been told my LaRue ancestors survived the Huguenot Massacre in summer of 1572. Also known as the Saint Bartholomew's Day Massacre. "King Charles IX of France, under the sway of his mother, Catherine de Medici, orders the assassination of Huguenot Protestant leaders in Paris, setting off an orgy of killing that results in the massacre of tens of thousands of Huguenots all across France." Perhaps a prime example of grandma's old saying "the toes you stomp today might be attached to the ass you might need to kiss tomorrow" 🤷 Anyhow, massacres seem to be in the news ... ML

realmda13 If we're getting close to Siete, I'd like to volunteer to buy in as early adopter. I will get you some pics and groups the week I get her in the ffl. It will be the first time I've been able to take a LaRue to a range since safe act. 😢
_zachary_easton_ That's awesome. I have great respect for the Huguenots 1 like
thirtythree_three @laruetactical Mark, I've been to Aigues-Mortes, the town south of Nimes where they imprisoned Huguenots as religious prisoners for decades. On the floor in the tower where they had them imprisoned, there is a word that was carved in stone - probably over the course of years using fingers - is the word "REGISTER", which means (loosely) "Resist". They were some hardcore people, the Huguenots, and having the anti-trumpers use that word was insulting. The Huguenot cross is one of the coolest symbols of all time. 2 likes

thomb1031 Interesting. So the French Revolution wasn't the first bit of wonton violence in French history then.
bottom_rung French Baptists, hated and murdered by the Catholics because they believed a man had to use his own free will to worship God.
