- laruetactical @mgarfias ... We collaborated on it. He had a knife project lined up for the outfit he worked with. Then the knife maker died in an auto-accident (fall of 2004). Can't recall that knifemaker's name ... Sippovich ? Simovich ? 🤷 Anyhow, Bob had the project approved and wanted to salvage it. So he asked me what I could machine and what I couldn't. I looked at what he had and reworked it into a machinable form, adding my 2 cents worth all along the way. I actually overhauled knife making while I was at it. Then we lost Bob in June of 2005 and the project died with him. Tactical Knife writer Chuck Karwan suggested a couple things which I added, we made a few and sent him one to review, which he did and put it Tactical Knife Magazine. There was a hue and cry after that article, so we made a run or two. ML 5 likes

awilliams30808 I would definitely take 2! One for my Marine and one for myself! If I could only get one....I would proudly hand it to him. The custom knife I had made for him has a leather sheath and no lanyard hole in the grip or tang. So our next project is to find someone to mold a custom kydex sheath for it or have another knife made for him that has a better sheath/retention system that he can add to his plate carrier! 2 likes

- pavelanski @awilliams30808 if you have a leather supply store near you, like Tandy, you can by a sheet of kydex ($20), the grommets ($2), and attachments hardware there or use a teklok. Then watch a few YouTube videos on making a kydex sheath and give it a shot. 1 like
