... IIRC, I was working at Bruner's Shooter's Supply in Oak Ridge, TN when Burris leaped onto the scene 50+ years ago. Okay, I shot the Burris 3-9Plex (that I've been posting about). I aimed at the intersection of the 4 paper targets and hit high left. I then shot 3 more shots and that 3-shot group measured 0.840. I came down 3.25" and came right 1.5" and shot again, this time at the Red Dot ... then 3 more shots to see if it "went there and stayed there". It did, note the 0.600" 4-shot group. Then I shot Group #3 and Group #4 (crow). The four group average = 0.800 🎯 Was hoping I could shoot a 0.299" group with the $299 scope, but alas, it was not to be 🎯 ML
536 likesleftsauce Great history lesson ... things have come a long way but your rifles stay Consistent thank god for ML
bredfearn79 Tight groups with any 3-9 is impressive. At 9x that cross hair still takes up alot of space.
  -  laruetactical @bredfearn79 ... LOL, you are right about the crosshair, it should be measured in "acreage" 😂 1 like
  -  bredfearn79 @laruetactical honestly though how much space did the cross hair cover? More than 1 moa @ 100 yards?
  -  laruetactical @bredfearn79 ... I could "sense" enough of the Red Dot showing that I felt like I had it "centered". 🎯
land_tank Secret City, TN...fast forward 50+ years and now we only use larue rifles for long range work. Small world.
