danielbeckman7282 Amazing!!! Once I break in my 6.5 barrel I'm going to swap them back and forth and see if I can reproduce the groups. I know the scope mounts hold zero. Every night when it gets dark I remove my scope from my 6.5 LaRue OBR (ultimate upper) and place my old school Mini Thor Thermal with a LaRue LT 270 on it. I have shot 26 coyotes at 200 yards in my backyard (staked down dead feral hog for bait) in the past few months using this method. Once the sun rises I put the scope back on (it's mounted on a LT 111) and use it during the day. Zero is never lost on either optic. 1 like

damon.mansfield I have a .222Rem casing that I shot through the fat part of the case, with it standing vertically on the target rack at 75 yards. Took us a long time to find it, but when we did, it was a perfectly-centered hole. Brass remaining on both sides. I haven't duplicated it since. That was about 25 years ago. Remington 722 bolt gun with a fine-reticle Stoeger scope.
