... This is Dan Beckman's "broke-in 308 barrel" Siete group w / 178 ELD-Xs reloads. Group measures 0.2745 (0.262 moa). Note digital powder scales in the background 😎 ML

  -  aggie_duck12 @laruetactical 😂 Very true, I used to make so much money going to my dads job sites picking up scrap metal, and aluminum cans, or old gutters. The good old days as a kid.
  -  laruetactical @aggie_duck12 ... Well, there's always overtime 😎 1 like
  -  bcyz100 @aggie_duck12 I was jobless, penniless, and pawning guns for groceries 8 years ago. Now I own my house, my cars, several acres of land and am awaiting my Siete. You got this. Trust in God. 2 likes
esqphoto It has been fun doing load development for the Siete. I'm learning things as I go, and for fun, at the 200 round mark (or before if I settle on a pet load), I am thinking about documenting and tracking all of my 5 shot groups at 100 yards to see my aggregate group size for say the next 1,000 rounds. This idea was inspired by the recent conversation between Litz at @appliedballisticstrainingdiv and Cortina at @erikcortina. I'm no expert marksman for sure but it might cool to see. The most groups I've ever looked at the aggregate were 20 five shot groups with my PredetAR at 600 yards done in one day at CMP Talladega (and my groups with a pencil barrel averaged like 1.4 MOA). 2 likes
  -  laruetactical @esqphoto ... Did you account for wind for all 100 shots ?
  -  esqphoto @laruetactical - I did my best but the wind did push me around. I actually reposted photos of some groups on 2/14/22. The 2.22 inch 5 shot group at 300 yards was my qualification to shoot at 600 yards. My first time beyond 200 yards ever. Elevation was good but the group was to the right in the 9 ring. The 600 yard group I posted was actually a 1.43 MOA 10 shot group from the same day. That 10 shot group was low and slightly right too. I shot these with Sig 77 grain ammo with no chronograph data. Just plugged the velocity number off the box into a ballistics calculator and got on my belly to shoot off a Larue modified Harris bipod and an accuracy 1 sandbag. I thought it was pretty good for me and I hope it speaks well of the rifle. 1 like
brtnglht That gun is a total loss. Might as well donate it to me as wall decoration! 😏 3 likes
icecoldmn If only the 308 was the common barrel and the others were options, but instead we are all stuck with the flavor of the year 6.5 godmore. Cant wait till additional barrels hit the market
  -  laruetactical @icecoldmn ... Please expound 🧐
  -  icecoldmn @laruetactical my first LaRue was a 308 obr then I invested in 260tobr when you sold them as a better round than the 6.5 creed in the tobrs.then a 14.5 308 tobr to go with a tranquillo ,now of course I want a 260 and 308 barrel for my siete, but instead I have to order a 6.5 and a 260 or a 6.5 and a 308 almost a impossible choice. Just wished the siete came with a 308 standard as it is pretty much the most common round in the USA. I will say the great news of the day is my siete has shipped as of today. Can't wait to hit the range with it and see how the 260 performs.
  -  replicantt @icecoldmn why'd you go with 260 over 6.5 creedmore?
the_philomath28 Will the rail for the Seite fit a PredatOBR? Is that rail available for sale? 1 like
