1,047 likesprofileungnome Got a buddy who did intermittent fasting combined with keto and he dropped 110 pounds less than a year. No exercise also no alcohol. Kinda boring being around now. Lol
jovanone Sounds like low blood pressure coupled with diabetes. 🤯
grd.machine I started on a 16 hour fasting window and went to 24 hour now. I literally eat supper and that's it. Once your body gets used to it, it's not a big deal. It just takes a couple months to train your body IMO.
rvpugh I partake in IF. My eat window is only 6 hours from 530-1130. I've dropped 30lbs in 3 months. Tightening up the diet to see what that will do. Should be fun
mdunkin75 First couple of days suck, but after awhile it's pretty easy.
tdrem269 Great work!
justn84 IF is great for me. you dont have to meal prep just drink as much topochico lime or strawberry perriers and water as you want (and black coffee if you must)🤷 1 like
cr0ckett1104 Thanks Mark! It was tough first couple of weeks, but once my body adapted, super easy! Thank you everyone for the kind words as well!

michaelctolliver That's what I end up doing though unintentionally! But I lost about 60lbs and went from a size 40 to a 34 in a year
reviewthepew What about drinking copious amounts of sugar free caffeine until 4? Does that count lol?! 1 like
jointdocshields It works well. Good caloric restriction. Dropped 25lbs in 3 months doing same plan. Ate about 5 every day. I also ate what I wanted on weekends.
copcar_confessions @laruetactical can confirm. 300 to 220 in a year. 1 like
  -  laruetactical @jacktical ... Cool. Did you sneak up on it or go all in from the git-go ?
  -  copcar_confessions @laruetactical started with the 16hr fast window (eat 12-8) then coupled with low to no carbs. Only took a couple days to get over not eating breakfast. Found a the 18hr fast to work better and normally eat at around 1-6 range. Then found if if I added a small amount of carbs in, I lost larger amounts day to day. Once I got it all tuned in, loose consistent 1/2-3/4 lb a day. Went 300-240 in like 6 months. Then plateau for 3-4 months, then shed another 20 in a month or two. 2 likes
captgmreed I have been doing an 18 hr fast for the past 300 days. I also walk a brisk pace for 45 minutes every day. Down 80 pounds. It's not to hard to be consistent.
sunuvamuthrphuck Intermittent fasting. I've been eating like that since I was a kid and now I find out it's the new fad diet lol
rjluna_ Damn, I put my cousin on regular diet that didn't include starving yourself and just walking. From 355 down to 270 in 9 months he still goes out for a drink and lives a regular lifestyle. IF isn't sustainable.
han_brolo_760 Um. It did the opposite to me.
coloradomountainman94 That sounds like hell
adhoc.artisan I can attest. Natural Fat-burning mode. I've stayed IF for a few years now. Transitioned w/ to animal-based & it's almost like we've been lying to our children about health. One less thing to worry about🍻

dirtywaterracing_240 same here went from 250 -190

riley__patterson That's what I do. Just coffee in the morning that is black. Then when I get done with my day I can eat anything.
middlefingernation IF for me went 218 to 157 in about 3 months with walking in mornings and afternoon ..ate what i wanted once a day and a bowl of ice cream
breedlove.ben Glad he's down the weight but that is not really the healthiest way to go about that. Better to just eat clean and exercise some portion control. And exercise.

all_the_goodusernamesaretaken Here's an even chadder and more effective way to do it: don't fast intermittently, it isn't as good for your metabolism. Eat at maintenance or more, but every two weeks ish, pick a block of time to do a straight 72 hour fast
  -  all_the_goodusernamesaretaken @all_the_goodusernamesaretaken but still don't snack
pawpawlammy The program is called Intensive Dietary Management. I have been on it since contracting Covid. I have lost 40 pounds since November 16. The fasting reverses type 1 diabetes. Reason I'm on it. Covid took my bad A1C over the edge to were now I'm on insulin. There is multiple programs. He is on 22-2. 22 fasting 2 eating. There is 18-6. The longer you fast the more benefits. Look it up, IDM. u s
anthony_chirillo Calories in versus calories out. All it takes to lose weight.
reagan.911.991.c2 I do this all the time during busy season and gain lots of weight so... Jealous of those that can do this.
ssgtdu I have been alternate day fasting for the past few months and dropped about 45lbs so far. It's a way to go. Just be sure to eat healthy foods when you do eat 9 likes
  -  laruetactical @ssgtdu ... Hey, there's a good idea. Sneak up on it. 4 likes
the_profishional My highest weight was 303, while doing oilfield work, sitting on long jobs, days at a time. After changing back to fishing guiding I went mostly keto but I always try to fast for about 14-16hrs/day with a 6-10hr eating window. I dropped 50lbs in 3 months, and over the last 5 years I've had ups and downs but currently down to about 230, where I'm fairly comfortable. If I fast daily and row my boat daily, I can eat literally anything I want and still either maintain or very slowly lose weight. Even in the winter(off season), I don't gain much anymore. Still work to be done to get back to college fitness levels but it's been good overall. Not to mention I've completely defeated an auto immune issue that came up from oilfield work stress/bad eating, as well as all heartburn/indigestion issues have gone away. 1 like
joeytippit19 my wife does that. she is losing weight.

tylerlikesboomsticks I did the same thing recently. I typically eat once a day, and I can eat whatever I want really but I only do so after 10pm. I went from a 38-40waist to 30 in less than 8 months. It's obviously not for everyone but it works well for me. Also eliminating energy drinks, sodas and gas station bs helps alot🤣 #notthiccerthanasnicker
ninjadanceoff The army of IG health and wellness doctors about to pop off on this one 😂😂🔥and good for him.
rbailey2207 I.F really does work as long as you watch what you eat as well. I lost 30 lbs in about 4 months. Cut out bread, most sugars and soda.

whiskey__actual I've been doing this for year. Didnt have a special name for it. I work 1pm to 1am and I'm typically not immediately hungry when I wake up so I just wait until around 5-6pm to eat. But I also lift weights 5days a week, dont eat junk regularly and avoid sugar.
jfpvh Tell your man congratulations. I definitely need to lose one or 20 pounds 🤣☕☕u s u s
brettseaton7 You start by not eating till 11, when you get use to that 2, 4, even 7. It works good.
cyco45 It works 🤙🏼🔥🔥🔥
sotexwhiskeyguy Not healthy. Cut out flour and sugar, control portions.
chuckharris1836 Does he work very hard? Because I'm a carpenter and I gotta have fuel
  -  chuckharris1836 @robbieluxx I gotta have breakfast or I get light headed
  -  grd.machine @chuckharris1836 It depends on the person and the size of them I reckon. I have a very physical job and eat supper and that's it. I drink coffee in the morning and water after that till supper.
  -  chuckharris1836 @grd.machine that would tear me up. My tummy would be gnawing on my backbone
  -  grd.machine @chuckharris1836 I'm 6'5, 280 lbs and some days it's more noticeable than others, but most days I don't even notice. My cousin is only 160 lbs and if he isn't eating every 4 hours, he thinks he's going to die. 😂 1 like

r_hardin_ Caloric deficit is the key, nothing magical about when you choose to eat, only how much you choose to eat. 5 likes
  -  yimszeto @r_hardin_ exactly. If you cram a million calories within your eating window, it doesn't matter!
  -  ryan__galloway @r_hardin_ Caloric deficit is key for losing all around weight. But in intermittent fasting you're *generally* looking to lose fat. That's why the "when" is important.
jay_easley_ Do that and go carnivore. I went from 225 to 180 in 9 months. Also throw in some walking/running.
user__1984 It's very easy after your body gets used to it, eventually you won't even want food at all. If you do low carb too it's almost too aggressive.
  -  user__1984 @goonsnguns went from 205 to 153 in a couple months, and have gained back some since stopping 😂
the_doug_and_erin_oil_show Hell yeah! I'm trying the same. 5 pounds in 2 weeks
lcmc_saa Yup... there are different fasts out there. I do a 20 hour fast once a week.
fairfieldnutritionzone @laruetactical Works for some not for others and doing a variation of it now but to say that you can eat anything during those hours is flawed You still need to choose proper healthy high protein Foods
46wlf46 Staying fit is easier than getting fit.
joe4usc The Zero app helps a lot too 💪🏻
johnolberman Meh. It's all about sustainability. Meaning how long can he keep@that up. I'd argue he can eat 3 meals a day of@just clean meat, veg, fruit 5 out ofn7 days and still do the same. Eating decent size portions 8 likes
  -  laruetactical @johnolberman ... Piss off. 36 likes
  -  dennis_a26 @johnolberman Well he did it for a year. I'd say he sustained it pretty damn well. For the average person, I'd say it's more difficult to eat 3 healthy meals a day for a year straight. 12 likes

  -  roadracing3 @laruetactical 🤣😝
  -  jham_210 @johnolberman @laruetactical it's healthy when you starve your body in short increments like daily I.F. It's promotes weight/fat loss, regulates blood sugar levels and it's puts your body in a defensive state to help protect you against sickness. Look up David Sinclair and listen to one of his many podcast interviews. It worked wonders for me Over the last two years. I recommend a 16/8 or 18/6, large number fasting time and small number feeding window. 1 like
  -  johnolberman @jham_762 i have nothing against IF just making the point of sustainability that's key to any "diet" being able to eat a certain way for the rest of your life is the answer 1 like
  -  jham_210 @johnolberman I absolutely agree with that. 🤙 1 like
  -  all4freedom @themayorsprizedpig bingo. The key with intermittent fasting working for many, myself included, is that it is often much easier to not eat at all before X time than it is to eat multiple meals and not over eat at them. 2 likes
