... LaRue barrel shop threw the first Siete barrel chambered in 243 Win. into the gun room today. Gun room slapped it in a Siete, texting me the ball was in my court. I drove to Bass Pro to see if they had any 243 ammo and they had two offerings, both had a deer on the box 🦌 Using my Canyon's high-beams to navigate the shootin' bench, I slowly put 10 rounds down the new barrel, then shot those two groups. Being as both brands had deer on the boxes, I quit while I was ahead. If you are lucky enough to go to the ShotShow next week, drop by our booth and try your hand at speed switching a Siete's barrel.   -  charliesclones @laruetactical I just was never a 243 shooter. .308 military and then 6.5 CM, and really want to shoot 8.6 BLK like the cool kids, or .30-06 like the real old guys. There are so many crazy rounds, half are useless except for older Swiss and Czech rifles 😂 1 like

wtt_racing_engines I've got a LR 243 that I smoked the barrel out using it as a thermal pig gun. Will your barrel fit it? I need a replacement so I can get it back going. I won't be abusing it like I did before lol.

kertmckeone .243 is what I shot every deer I shot with both mule and whitetail. I don't remember the number but it was a lot, over 25. We processed our own deer and after seeing how much damage and how much meat was ruined by a .243 100 grain did to a big corn fed Nebraska deer with what was supposed to be a heart shot, I shot the rest of them in the neck or head. 1 like
