... ... Like one of you said, making 1-piece Siete bolts is not for the faint of heart 😎 ML

  -  laruetactical @andy.chavers ... Thanks for trusting us to build you a rifle. Please preserve your LaRue barrel's accuracy by doing at least the 30 minute break-in. ML 6 likes

jeffwhitney3 Do you design and make that jig in house? Many years ago I use to make jigs to bend control rods for wood fireplaces. After I left that shop they bought a cnc bender that would have made my life a whole lot easier. 5 likes
  -  laruetactical @jeffwhitney3 ... Yes, we made that whole setup, jig, & doo-dads 11 likes

vcsurf31 I'll be honest...I have no clue what that was all about...but I'm willing to learn! 3 likes
  -  laruetactical @vcsurf31 ... We heated up and precision bent the bolt handle on a Siete bolt. 7 likes
texasgunnews That was such an informative angle! Great camera work. It's like watching "How It's Made," but you have more chest hair after😂 3 likes
damon.mansfield The mini-ductor tool works on the same induction heating principle. Loved using that thing when I had a stuck bolt (bolts on trucks, not rifles, that is....lol). Lots of heat, no torch-induced collateral damage. 3 likes

  -  laruetactical @dannah_mfg ... Can you run a Haas ?
  -  dannah_mfg @laruetactical I have an 06 mini mill in my garage
  -  laruetactical @dannah_mfg ... Phase Generator ?
  -  dannah_mfg @laruetactical no. Specifically bought because the MM, non super MM, will run single phase. It does pretty well too.
  -  laruetactical @dannah_mfg ... I scanned your page. In 1979, after carelessly throwing the RPM to it, I threw a counter weight off a VTL before I could ramp the rpm back down. 😳
claytonisatater This is awesome! I really appreciate the care you guys take with your parts and projects. Super cool to see all these manufacture steps. 1 like

rowdyyatez Cool to see someone doing induction brazing on IG
  -  laruetactical @rowdyyatez ... Not brazing ... we heated our Siete's one-piece handle to allow bending
totally_twisted1 👏 Thanks for that. It's always cool to see how the fine details are completed.
