- sir_wyatt_of_carlsbad @kylehamlin Most comps already have a hole drilled for the pin. When your barrel arrives install comp on barrel. Using a drill put a small dimple thru the hole into the threads but don't keep drilling into the barrel. Some metal coat hangers are perfect diameter and can be clipped and used for the pin. Tack weld or bring it to a shop and ask them to weld it for you. A shop shouldn't charge more than a few bucks. 2 likes
- sir_wyatt_of_carlsbad @kylehamlin **I should say spot weld. Also, less is more. It needs to be "permanent" in the eyes of the law but you may decide you want to make changes some day.

- sir_wyatt_of_carlsbad @kylehamlin make sure you have your gas block installed first. It is easy to pin weld it on. The hard part is getting it off. 1 like
- texan.right @sir_wyatt_of_carlsbad I've also seen people fill the hole with low temperature aluminum welding rods and a propane torch. Seemed to work and at least looks permanent 2 likes
