... LaRue Small Block and Big Block upper receivers are chiseled straight out of solid blocks. Yeah, it takes a lot longer than the wham-bam forgings ... meh, we're not in a rush just to get something that will pass a splash test when it's thrown in a pond. ML

whiskee_charlie I'm not sure why, but when you utter the words "big block" and see guns I have an overwhelming need to have this! 1 like
mookyoung808 I own several wonderful LaRue products, but will always choose forged over billet receivers 4 likes
  -  laruetactical @mookyoung808 ... So then, exactly how much stronger is a gutted / overly skeletonized aluminum forging ? Nevermind the fact that forged uppers get a tolerance mulligan, but they will still pass the splash test. 7 likes
thirtythree_three @laruetactical Hey Mark, I'm sure it's not high on your priority list, but have you ever considered putting together a hard-backed book with some of the ("non-classified") manufacturing processes and details? Sorta like this post here. I'd happily pay for something like that. It's something that no other manufacturer (to my knowledge) does, and with @markfingar as a potential resource...it could be fantastic. Just a thought! 1 like

el_jefe_556 ML - keep the quality coming on the production line as well as with your team. I got some great help from Dan Perez on a ruger 10/22 I'm working on. Coincidentally Dan helped me about a year ago with a different odd ball application. Top notch service for my 5 mounts and counting! I hope to add a big block to my safe some day too. Keep up the good work. -GG
