... We make our uppers out of solid bar. Here you see the 5.56 version. After sawing, the blanks are dropped in the vises and run. Then they go into a horizontal mill for deep holing, then they go into a Haas 4th axis setup to get final surfed. It's all running at once, all over the cell. Neat ? ML
