"The only restrictions for bolt-action rifles in CA are:
1. Cannot be chambered in .50BMG
2. Minimum barrel length of 16"
3. Minimum overall length of 26" (measured with the firearm in the shortest possible firing configuration. Stock folded/collapsed)
As long as the bolt-action rifle complies with the above items, it can be configured in any way and still be CA legal."
