charliesclones What led you to .338 Federal? Lots of Lapua fans, and now big Army using Norma. I don't hear much about .338 Federal. I know you do this with purpose. It has kinda been a thing for you: .260 over 6.5 CM and a push on 6.5 Grendel.... Would make an interesting podcast 1 like

The introductory Siete is a Short Action ... and as we've seen, there's a virtual cornucopia of 308-based rounds to choose from and the 338Fed is obvious deer overkill. And after shooting it a few times yesterday, I can attest that Federal made a beltless magnum out of it. 2 likes

pewpewvette Harmonics are simpler on the shorties so as long as you don't need the extra velocity they are just fine.
