Here's a little history on our LaRue QuadRails ... 2005ish, word came our way that handguards with vertical grips were busting loose and crimping off the gas tubes, turning their rifles into single shots out on the battlefield. Problem identified, solution needed. We whipped up our LaRue QuadRail. Our intent was to make it virtually impossible for it to loosen in combat. A group took some with them and came back with an observation. They said when using the Florida Man's clip-on handguards, if while in a gun battle, if somebody dumped a mag or two and jumped behind a wall to reload ... after they let the round get good and hot, then had to shoot it, the bolt sometimes broke from the pressure spike that happened due to super-heated air sitting in the chambered round. What does that have to do with our LaRue QuadRail ? Well, none of the LaRue-equipped rifles broke a bolt during that deployment and they happened to notice. They came back with a theory - they theorized that the mechanical method the LaRue handguard attached with, naturally heat-sinked heat out of the chamber, enough to save the bolts when the rifles were involved in same scenario. And that concludes tonight's ancient history lesson 😎 ML
712 likestactiwop Very nice. I've always wanted to build a MK18 with your 7" handguard. 1 like
  -  bravoraider03 @tactiwop that wouldn't be a MK18 then. 3 likes

perez2021juan Mister ML any new handguards on the horizon to replace the lok and slick a tinnies? 2 likes
  -  laruetactical @perez2021juan ... I liked the slick-a-tinnies ... not enough people took the step, so we had to kick them to the curb. $10 an inch 🤷 3 likes
  -  perez2021juan @laruetactical well that's a shame they didn't catch on more. Such a good rail. And the Lok-a-tinny as well.

stetsonamericanhorse Bring back a limited run of quad rails please. Want to make a Block 1.5 inspired clone that doesn't contain Florida-Man components.

the_glocktor Mark got into the dry rub again
mokayakjoe Love my 12.5. Was stunned at the machine work. Thanks!
csolstice032018 I've been running your handguards since before you started selling your .556 OBR's. I sold every other brand I owned. I just spent an hour looking for a handguard for a Benelli M4. They all look like extruded garbage and None OF THEM look like they lock up solid like yours. "Build it and they will come". I hate settling for less than perfect. 2 likes
  -  mylocalgunshop @csolstice032018 they knock everything out of the park.
tcfawley Badass. Still my fave quad rail.
jreyes028 Very wise, thanks Mark
cafe_motos I hope one day Mark or someone will do a complete history of the OBR from inception to use on the battlefield. 2 likes

blackstone.jt @laruetactical I thoroughly believe if you brought back your quad rails they'd be a huge hit. I'd put my money on a few..
cxxxviii The 18" stealth upper I got is king, especially with the epc-m on it. I should have been more responsible and got a 16" quad upper also.
perez2021juan Love those rails. Its my newest favorite rail.
