... I did it. I shot a sub 0.927 moa 3-barrel group at 100 yards. Here's how ... I started with 3 LaRue Siete barrels, the 22" 260 from a few days ago, a 20" 6.5CM broke-in today, and a 17" 308 also broke-in today (20 shot break-in). Using 3 different Leupold 2.5-8 Mk4s (apples to apples), one assigned to each barrel, I sighted each barrel/scope in on a single LaRue Siete chassis, then shot a 3-shot group for reference from each barrel/scope. 1st group = 6.5CM, 2nd group = 308, 3rd group = 260Rem. FWIW, those three barrel/scope combinations averaged 0.776 moa. Then, on the bottom right aiming point, after reinstalling each barrel/scope in same order, I shot one (1) shot and one shot only. Then changed to next barrel, repeat. After shooting one 6.5CM round, then one 308 round, then one 260Rem round, I had shot a 0.926 moa three (3) barrel group. A feat I have never seen nor heard of. The purpose of this feat was to show that you can yank your 260 groundhog barrel and scope off, and replace with your 338 Federal HogKrusher and it's scope (also in LaRue mounts) and head to the woods with 💯% confidence in where the 338 bullets are going ... Note the 40 ft. lb. LaRue Siete torque wrench. With tuned handloads and far more magnification than the meager 8-power I shot here, you can stomp my numbers. regularprecisiondude @laruetactical, any plans on doing this test while keeping just 1 higher magnification optic on the rifle to show the POI differences when swapping around? Most ppl doing a switch barrel do it so they only have to buy 1 scope, but multiple cartridges for a single system. That's my understanding at least.
