j0e.wheeler Did it a few times. First time I switched barrels in my Larue PredatOBR I messed up the upper receiver. I called Larue and told them exactly what I did and that it was my fault and I need a new upper. They had me ship just the upper back to Larue and they replaced the upper and sent it back with no charge except shipping. Fantastic customer service you have Mark. Fully expected to pay for a new upper. Thank you. Learned my lesson and bought the right tools to swap barrels. 1 like

- sonofstate @laruetactical used to work for a major online retailer. Periodically, we would get barrels sent back with mangled and "seized" thread protectors. Usually it was some good old boy that would use a vise and vise grips on his SIG barrel and had never heard of left hand threads. I always got them off easily. We would send it back to them and just make them pay all the shipping and sell them a new thread protector at cost.
- j0e.wheeler @sonofstate I did not properly torque my barrel nut and put a gemtec Qd mount on the muzzle and was trying to time the muzzle device and got over zealous. I wallowed out the barrel timing notch in the upper. Felt so freaking dumb.
