... A Siete owner posted on ARFcom about his break-in and accuracy results. He bastardized the break-in, but still got good results ... here's what he said ...
"All ammo but the second group was Hornady 130gr ELDM reloads for the .260 buildAR. Second group was Applied Ballistics's ammo LaRue was selling a year or two ago. First group was under .62 moa, I cleaned it between groups and shot 1x fowler before each group. Second group was .84 moa, third group was .62 moa. Fourth group opened way up to 1.14 moa, then I shot the fifth and final group without cleaning it, at the crow's head and got .53 moa.
In review, I didn't really follow break in. I cleaned it, fired 2x rounds, cleaned it. Shot 6 rounds, cleaned it, shot 6 rounds cleaned it, shot 6 rounds cleaned it, then fired 5 more rounds. I'm just going to continue shooting it as is now."

thechestcracker Thanks for including the break in institutions for those of use that can follow instructions and know to expect a certain result for doing so. I don't get why anyone wouldn't do what you say to do with the break in. Just seems like it takes away one more thing to think about.

  -  laruetactical @thechestcracker ... Yeah, odd, as it's widely known I and this whole facility has an obsession for accuracy. And if we decided rubbing an apple on the barrel's crown cut group size by 10%, then what's to lose. 🤷 2 likes

thechestcracker Do you include recommended break in instructions with the rifle or do you have a personal favorite way you could share 1 like

  -  billbee235 Just shoot the rifle.. I've stopped doing break in. Clean it when you get it and get 200 rounds down the tube. After that do load development. Top tier barrel makers have admitted break-in does nothing but make you feel better

tx_pighntr Are the break in instructions sent with the AR's/AR barrels now? I don't recall a break in sheet with mine from 2years ago.
