... We make our own barrels here at LaRue. We don't call them "Match" barrels, we call them "LaRue" barrels. Here is a short clip of our 3-headed Mollart CNC gundrilling the bore on 3 barrels at a time. The counter-rotating heads drill stupendously straight holes ... maybe a thousandth of an inch off from one end to the other. That's why I was able to shoot 10 groups from those 10 LaRue rifles all on one target, without touching the scope's knobs 🎯 ML

slangin_boolits too excited to go group the 20" stealth i just got on monday!
  -  johnnybwildered @slangin_boolits mine was around .55" on average with 77GMM
  -  slangin_boolits @johnnybwildered nice. i have a decent match load worked up for my other 20" using 69 gr Sierra's and RMR's version. they interchange the same powder charge pretty well
  -  johnnybwildered @slangin_boolits I believe the chambers are reamed for the 77 GMM. The shoulder only ever expanded by .002-.004.
  -  slangin_boolits @johnnybwildered its listed as a wylde chamber. i'm also presuming that federal seats the 77 gr smk the same that I seat the 69gr smk, 2.260 which is max length for the cartridge and also the max the will fit in a magazine. bolt guns you can start playing with long seat lengths and long leads.. @laruetactical any input?
  -  laruetactical @slangin_boolits ... Yes, always use a "surprise break"
  -  slangin_boolits @laruetactical 😂 time to start prototyping a double-set drop in trigger
d_mo88 Waiting on a 20" 7.62 tobr barrel if you got any laying around there.
connelldad 👍
aguirre_ben02 Any word on when the T2s from aimpoint are coming in? Been on back order since December
  -  _sambo24_ @aguirre_ruben02 It took roughly 6 months for mine to come in when I ordered it last year. Great glass is hard to come by at the moment. Do what I did and just forget about it until it ships 😂. Saves you some heartache
  -  laruetactical @_sambo24_ ... There is a finite amount of glass grinding/polishing capacity on planet Earth. 🤷
  -  _sambo24_ @laruetactical when I said that, I meant that all of these high end scopes like nightforce etc are on back order because of Covid. Not that there is no glass on earth. (Obviously)
  -  laruetactical @_sambo24_ ... Meh, okay, and I stand by my statement.

ghostmarmot Don't do any CHF barrels?
  -  laruetactical @ghostmarmot ... No, ammo is too expensive to squander it in an inaccurate barrel. 13 likes
justin.elliott.37 @snamken72 maybe yours?
  -  snamken72 @justin.elliott.37 yes please!!
kurt_stl67 @laruetactical and after that the real magic happens 😉
mikeg1644 Interesting. I'm familiar with the old-school Pratt & Whitney machines used back in the day. BTW, what rifling process are you using? Cut, button, hammer forged? Are you also hand-lapping to final dimensions, those guys are money!!!
  -  metz.111 Be careful man if they see how smart you are they might put you to work 3 likes
pjcane There's no need to differentiate between regular and "match grade" when everything you make is so goddamn accurate already. 👍👍 5 likes
kodiak_precision Awesomeness !! As all of your products!!
frankc157 Holy grail of barrels!!
thealmightyholland I am pumped! I just got the 308 UU with the TranQuillo. I thought about the 6.5 Creedmoor but I thought the 308 would suit me better. Keep the dream alive Larue Team.
