tree.sloth Hey Mark is there a reason you went with nitride 9310 bcgs as opposed to c158 phosphate? I read that it's harder to heat treat properly and saw a recent post on reddit of a broken 556 match grade upper bolt after 2k rounds. 3 likes

C158 is easier to screw up than 9310. C158 requires additional QAQC to meet milspec. Most machine guns just use 9310 1 like
