If you are in the group of enthusiasts that laughs at 3 shot groups, here's a prime example of 3-shot groups vs 5-shot groups. Get out your calculator and average the 3s on the bottom vs the 5s on top. We do this 5/3 series on rack rifles almost daily here. ML ETA - I did the math 5-shot avg = 0.897" ... 3-shot avg = 0.742" ... 0.155" difference ... meh, half the width of a .308 bullet
