... While filling my GMC date truck with gas today, a Quartermaster pulled into the pump across from me in a mint 2006 diesel Mercedes. He was too tall for submarines, and moving like someone that retired in 1962. He had a Navy Submariner cap on, so I moved in to say hi. I told him my dad retired the Chief Engine-man on the USS Cutlass. I could see his eyes say "newbie" 😂 Anyhow, I helped him get his card to work in the pump, and get his diesel flowing. I wrote down "Blind Man's Bluff" on a Constitution I had in the console and told him I had a good chance to be the Navy's 6.5 Creedmoor supplier. He loaded up in his mint Mercedes with a quickness in his step 😎 My brush with greatness. ML

laruetactical ... I forgot to tell y'all that since the gentleman was a "Quartermaster", I had to tell him what my dad shouted at us kids when we were arguing a fine point 😎 "RUN IN CIRCLES, SCREAM AND SHOUT !! QUARTERMASTER ! QUARTERMASTER ! WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT ?!?!" He chuckled. 4 likes
pvbarker8 Blind Man's Bluff is a heck of a read! Those guy who go down on something long, black and full of seamen are a brave bunch - but they estill deserve some intra-service joshing!😂😂😂😂 3 likes
